We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Please Note:

This Trail starts at The Ropery car park which is situated next to the Tourist Information Centre and skirts around the centre of Pickering, through the town centre and around the castle, before finishing at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The 'figure of eight' route follows pavements and paths, some of which can get muddy so suitable footwear is recommended.

There are toilets at the start of the Trail. Refreshments are available in various pubs and cafes as well as in the town centre towards the end of the Trail.

The route takes you past the Beck Isle Museum and the English Heritage run Pickering Castle (Admission charges and opening times apply to both). You could also take a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (check at the station or nymr.co.uk for timetable and fares).

There are two main long stay car parks in Pickering. Eastgate is located next to the roundabout where the A170 and A169 cross. Use the map in the car park here to locate Tourist Information and the start of the Trail. Vivis Lane is more central, being near the crossroads next to The Ropery short stay car park where the Trail starts. Both of these car parks are signed as Long Stay parking as you enter the town. Buses to Pickering also run from neighbouring towns and villages.
